1952 Concordia 39 Yawl WINNIE

WINNIE is Concordia Yawl No. 11, built by Abeking and Rasmussen in 1952. She has been serviced, rigged and launched for the 2025 sailing season by Concordia Company, and can be seen on her mooring in Hyannisport, Massachusetts.

WINNIE’s first major rebuild came in 1990, at the hands of Peter Gallant in Portsmouth, NH. New masts and all new rigging were added in 2004. Following racing damage sustained in 2014, the boat was again substantially rebuilt in 2015 by the accomplished team at Rockport Marine in Maine (5 new frames, 2 scarfed frames, 3 sistered frames, new deck beams, new scarfed sheer clamp, covering board, decking, and toe rail, new planks and scarfed planks, interior refinishing, exterior refinishing, deck awlgrip w/ nonskid, new engine, complete re-wiring, all new electronics and appliances, deck hardware rebuilt, new tanks, new bow pulpit, and more).

In summary, Winnie has seen multiple high-end rebuilds during her lifetime, which has been to her great advantage. As a result, her hull, rig, systems and finishes are all in excellent condition, and she can be considered one of the finest Concordia 39’s to come on the market in recent years.
